Saxophone Residency in Dubai | Live Jazz Lounge for Restaurants & Hotels
There’s something special about a restaurant that has its own sound. Not a playlist that runs in the background — a real musician, every week, creating a moment that regulars start to anticipate.
That’s what a saxophone residency does for a venue. It gives your restaurant or hotel bar an identity. A reason to come back. A moment that makes the weekend feel like it’s actually starting.
I’m Chris — a French saxophonist based in Dubai. And if you’re looking for a weekly or monthly live music residency for your venue, this is what I do.
What I Bring to Your Venue
A residency with me is built around one idea: giving your guests a moment to escape. Not just background music — a genuine musical experience that makes people slow down, look up from their phones, and actually enjoy where they are.
My repertoire blends:
- Familiar covers — songs your guests recognise and love, reimagined with my own arrangements
- Unique backing tracks — professionally produced, crafted specifically for my live performances
- Original compositions — smooth jazz, funky lounge pieces I’ve written myself, woven naturally into every set

Solo or Duo — Formats for Every Venue
Most of my residencies are solo — saxophone with backing tracks, which gives a full, rich sound without the complexity of a full band setup. But I also perform in duo format for venues that want something a little more dynamic:
- Solo saxophone — elegant, intimate, perfect for fine dining and hotel bar settings
- Saxophone & guitar/vocals duo — warmer and more energetic, great for larger spaces and brunch settings
- Saxophone & violin duo — refined and sophisticated for upscale hotel restaurants
My Residency Experience in Dubai
I held a regular Saturday brunch residency at Fire Lake Grill — Radisson Blu Waterfront, Business Bay — performing as part of the Deep South Social Brunch, including sets in duo format. It taught me a lot about what makes a residency work: consistency, adaptability, and building a relationship with the venue’s regular crowd over time.
That’s what I bring to every residency conversation — not just a musician, but a partner who understands what your venue is trying to build.
The Right Venues for a Saxophone Residency
A saxophone residency works best in venues where atmosphere matters — where guests come to enjoy an experience, not just a meal. In Dubai, that typically means:
- Hotel restaurants & bars — sophisticated live music that elevates the guest experience and reflects the property’s positioning
- Fine dining restaurants — smooth jazz lounge that complements the cuisine and encourages guests to linger
- Rooftop bars & terraces — funky lounge grooves for sunset sessions and weekend brunches
- Casual dining with a premium feel — live music that makes a relaxed setting feel special
- Beach clubs & pool bars — chilled, modern saxophone that sets the weekend tone
Why a Regular Residency Changes Your Venue
A one-off performance is memorable. A weekly residency is transformative.
When guests know that every Saturday — or every Friday evening — there will be live saxophone at your venue, something shifts. It becomes part of the reason they come. They bring friends. They book tables in advance. They associate your restaurant with a feeling — and that feeling keeps them coming back.
Live music isn’t a cost. It’s an identity.
Available Across Dubai
I’m based in Dubai and available for residencies across the city — DIFC, Downtown, Marina, Palm Jumeirah, Bluewaters, Business Bay, JBR and beyond. Also available for Abu Dhabi and Sharjah venues.

Frequently Asked Questions
A saxophone residency is a regular, recurring live music engagement at your venue — weekly, bi-weekly or monthly. Rather than a one-off performance, a residency builds a consistent atmosphere that your guests start to anticipate and plan around. It becomes part of your venue’s identity.
Typically 2 to 3 sets of 45 minutes each, with breaks in between. The format is flexible and can be adapted to your service schedule — I work around your kitchen timing, reservation flow, and key moments of the evening.
Most residencies are solo — saxophone with professionally produced backing tracks, which gives a full, rich sound without the complexity of a full band. For venues that want something more dynamic, I also offer duo formats — saxophone with guitar and vocals, or saxophone with violin.
I arrive with my saxophone, microphone and mixing desk. For the best sound, I recommend performing through your venue’s existing system — it integrates more naturally and sounds better for your guests. I’m happy to do a sound check before service begins.
Residency pricing depends on the frequency, format and duration of each session. Regular engagements typically offer better rates than one-off performances. Get in touch with your venue details and I’ll put together a proposal that works for your programming budget.
Once we’ve agreed on the format and schedule, I can typically start within 1 to 2 weeks. For peak season launches (October onwards), I recommend reaching out as early as possible to secure your preferred dates.
