Jimmy Sax Sheet Music: sharing my passion with other saxophonists
Ever since I discovered Jimmy Sax, his music has resonated deeply with me.
It inspires me on stage, in my daily practice, and in those moments when I simply want to reconnect with the pure emotion of playing saxophone.
Like many sax players, I looked everywhere for sheet music of his songs.
Most of the time… nothing.
Or poor transcriptions that didn’t really capture the spirit.
So, step by step, I decided to transcribe them myself — by ear, just for the joy of playing them more faithfully.
I am not a professional transcriber — I’m a passionate saxophonist who wanted to turn emotions into notes, and share them with others.
Why share these sheet music transcriptions?
- Because many of us want to play his music.
- Because official versions are often unavailable.
- And mostly because I believe music should be shared, even if it’s not perfect.
These transcriptions are made with care, but also with the spontaneity and energy of live performances.

They are mostly for intermediate to advanced players, but remain accessible.

Of course! That’s one of the reasons I made them.
Are they available for other saxophones?
Currently for Alto Sax, but easily adaptable to other instruments.
